It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Mauro Picotto here at DT. Thus any arrival of any fresh material from the inimitable Italian is greeted with a fair amount of excitement whenever it lands in our bulging inbox. Long considered one of the scene’s finest selectors and producers, Mauro really is a man who’s done it all over the past couple of decades. Catapulting the scene out of the underground onto some of the world’s most visible platforms he’s showcased his DJ skills everywhere from Ibiza’s biggest clubs to the Turin Winter Olympics; he was even the first DJ to mix live on Top Of The Pops! Despite all this – and our rampant fanboyism - he’d still inexplicably never delivered an edition of the DT podcast which is something we finally get to put right this week. Serving up an hour long set of selections in celebration of the release of his ninth studio album, ‘From Heart To Techno’ Mauro has us locked in from start to finish. We can't imagine a better way to start the week although we’ll admit his selections have already got us eagerly eyeing up the coming weekend!
